Who Is Vladimir Duthiers?
Vladimir Duthiers is an American television journalist and news correspondent best known for his work with CBS News. Before entering journalism, he worked in finance on Wall Street — a career path that many would consider prestigious and stable. However, in a bold and life-changing decision, he left finance in his late 30s to pursue journalism, starting as an intern at CNN.
His international reporting experience, including time spent covering major global stories, helped him develop into a seasoned correspondent. Today, he serves as a co-host and anchor on CBS platforms, bringing global awareness and in-depth storytelling to a national audience.
Duthiers’ reporting style is often described as calm, analytical, and empathetic — qualities that have earned him credibility and viewer trust.
Vladimir Duthiers Age and Early Life
Vladimir Albert Duthiers was born on December 21, 1969, making him 56 years old as of 2026.
Born in New York City to Haitian immigrant parents, Duthiers grew up in a culturally rich household shaped by Caribbean heritage and French influence. His upbringing played a significant role in shaping his worldview and later interest in global affairs.
Interestingly, his first name “Vladimir” reportedly reflects his father’s admiration for Russian culture and literature — a unique choice that has always made him stand out.

Growing up in a bilingual and multicultural environment allowed him to develop a broader cultural perspective — something that clearly benefits his journalism career.
His family background has often been mentioned as a source of pride, and he has spoken about how being the child of immigrants shaped his drive and ambition.
Vladimir Duthiers Siblings
